X-Men Films Coming to Blu-ray

In an early announcement to retailers, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment has revealed that they will bring 'X-Men', 'X2: X-Men United', and 'X-Men: The Last Stand' to Blu-ray on April 21st. All three titles we be delivered as two-disc sets with 1080p AVC video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio soundtracks.
No special features have been revealed at this time, but you can expect to see at very least all the extras from the previous special edition DVD releases.
Astute Blu-ray fans will remember that 'X-Men: The Last Stand' has not only been previously released, but was also the first Blu-ray title to be released by Fox back in 2006. It is unknown if this new two-disc set will be an extension of original release, or a completely new encode.

More good news! I'm a little torn on this one because I really dig X-Men III all that much. I'll probably give in especially with how good the Wolverine trailer looks. |

I am glad it was not released in a box set. A lot of people already own #3, and I would pass on the first two if I had to buy the box set to get them. |

I held off buying The Last Stand because of its subpar specs, seems as if I'll be vindicated!
A boxset might be nice, although they needn't bother if it comes out looking like the POTC one. |

Nice! I can't wait to see the first two Bryan Singer helmed films on Blu-ray. I'm glad I didn't cave and re-buy X-Men III on Blu-ray yet. Now I can remove those DVDs from my collection. |
