Actually, Best Buy has gotten a LOT better about competitive software pricing lately. It's been pretty surprising honestly. |

Let's hope to hell this doesn't become a standard practice on big releases. Exclusives = higher prices. |

Unless they give us something extra for the BB/Target exclusives, I'll wait for the May 5th nationwide release.. |

Yeah, this will be a renter on my Blockbuster que. Forget exclusives. I hope Best Buy either puts it on sale or doesn't get many sales. |

I hate when studios do that, forcing us to buy from the big chains. And this is worse since it's not a week early type thing but a full six weeks before wide release. Bunch of sellouts to Best Buy |

Not that it matters for this particular film (zero interest), but yeah thumbs down on all these exclusive things.
[Especially those Bond steelcases, first it's Best Buy, now it's Amazon. Who will get the exclusive on those next?] |

This has to be one of the worst Blu-ray marketing schemes, ever! |

So will Target.com have it, since it's basically run by Amazon? |

How about the following strategy.
Buy it on April 5 at BestBuy.
Then use their price matching guarantee on May 5 if someone else sells it for less. |

I dont care who sells it, as long as it gets released in the US and not only like to California or some weird trick their brians can create I dont care, I will then THINK about getting it if it's not overpriced like at $50 |

I live abroad, and since Best Buy and Target don't ship overseas, I guess I'll just wait until May.
All of this just strengthens my impression of Summit as a highly suspect studio, but it's their own foot they're shooting. |

Summit don't care, they already made a ton of money in the box office. I think it's absolute ridiculous to give certain stores exclusives for a 6 week period. I am pretty sure that BB/Target paid a hefty premium for this exclusive. |

Dorky idea, exclusives stink. Hopefully this doesn't become a common strategy.... |

That seems very odd!?!? I hope this also (AT LEAST) means BestBuy.com and Target.com for the people who live in remote areas.
BestBuy/ Target probably paid a fortune for this deal, but was the movie THAT big??? |

Yeah Lucy, it pretty much was. Think of all the crazed fangirls eagerly shelling out $35 for the Blu-ray. |
