Indiana Jones Trilogy Coming This Year to Blu-ray

Posted January 30, 2009 08:49 AM by Josh Dreuth

Paramount During a recent PowerPoint presentation given by the folks at Lucasfilm, it was revealed that the 'Indiana Jones Trilogy' would be released on Blu-ray by the end of the year. The original post (with images of the presentation) has since been removed, but like all things on the Internet, word has traveled fast, so we're passing on the news to you, along with a pinch of salt.

We'll keep following the story, but in all likelihood, the breach has been secured. Stay tuned for more information.

Obviously this is good news. Hopefully the video and sound will be great.

Big question for me is: what else was in the Powerpoint Presentation by Lucasfilm?

They said "trilogy"?

I avoided picking up the fourth one because I was planning on getting them all together when the original films hit. I hope they have a bundle with the original 3 and also one with all 4.

While taking this with the amount of salt in the ocean, it's nice to know it MAY be on some radars.

That's amazing. I thought they missed their best window for sales when KOTCS came out and that we wouldn't see it for a long time because of that. Any Spielberg stuff is great news. This made my day!

I hope this is true. Indy is a classic and a first day buy for me, I can't wait for Lucasfilm to release an ultimate Star Wars set on blu ray too(but I'm sure it will be a while for that one)

Will they be offering these individually?

I hate these trilogy sets. Why? Because they always seem to come back and make "another" movie, i.e. Indiana Jones, Die Hard, etc, which ends up being a stand alone box next to the box set. Plus, not everyone likes every installment in a series. I like to get my favorites and be done with it, no pun intended.
