Sleeping Beauty for 2008

Disney has revealed that they are planning to re-release 'Sleeping Beauty' on DVD, and will also be putting the animated classic on Blu-ray at the same time. Its way too early to be thinking about specs, but it is nice to see Disney willing to bring their classics to Blu-ray. Hopefully, we will get some additional Disney classics between now and then.

This may not be the surprise but don't knock the animated Disney classics. This will probably be a better seller than many second tier movies and will sell evenly over a longer time. |

I hope they keep coming out with more animation on Blu Ray. I can only imagine what something like Fantasia or Peter Pan, even Monsters Inc. would look like in AVC with lossless audio. Great job Disney. Unviersal can stick with HD DUD. |

not that much of a sleeping beauty fan, but this is exciting because hopefully it'll open the flood gates on some of there old classics that are sure to sell on BD |

Sleeping Beauty is one of the most beautiful looking films of the Disney Animated Classics, with a very distinctive style, it will look absolutely gorgeous on Blu Ray. |
