Michigan-based hypermarket chain Meijer has just passed a new milestone for Blu-ray hardware pricing. From now to July 31, you can buy there a brand-new player (not refurbished) for under $100: the Curtis Mathes CMMBX130 for $99.99. Additionally, using the code "DOTMJR09" will get you free shipping. Update: the player is now sold out.
This model is BonusView (Profile 1.1) compatible and uses the Broadcom BCM7440 chipset, like many Samsung players. However, there are no professional reviews for it.
Update: the player is now sold out.

Not a bad price. Just me, but I can't go with an unfamiliar brand. All my home theater hardware will always be Sony. |

Dang, I would have DEFINATELY ordered this for my Dad as a Father's Day gift, but now there isn't enough time. Seems they started this a little late didn't they? |

@mugupo
Where? I'm interested in the bd60. Amazon is the lowest I've found at $209.
I'm tempted with the $99 deal but I know I'd be fuming the first time I had a playback issue and would have wished I shelled a few more for a more dependable player. |

Yea they used to be top notch stuff. Once the main guy died in a plane crash they slowly went downhill until they declared bankruptcy.
The name has been revived with a lot of their products being sold in Wal Mart and Sam's clubs. Google the name. |

Meijer? Who would have thought! When I get my groceries tomorrow, I will look around. If they have this, at the same price, it may become a fathers day gift! I wonder how good they are at firmware updates? With a 90 day return policy, I don't have anything to lose! If Meijer doesn't have this, he will have to suffer with the gift I already got him haha |

I used to go to Meijer all the time when I spent the summer with my family in Indiana in 2007. Impressive store. Their 10-for-$10 deals are awesome. It's like a Wal-Mart Supercenter, only better. |
