Emmerich's Godzilla Stomps on Blu-ray in November

Sony PicturesSony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that it will bring the 1998 version of 'Godzilla' on Blu-ray on November 3, tying in with the theatrical opening of Roland Emmerich's latest disaster movie, '2012'. As a major catalog title, this include Sony's new movieIQ live database feature.

Special features include:
  • All-Time Best Of Godzilla Fight Scenes
  • "Heroes" Music Video by The Wallflowers
  • Behind the Scenes of Godzilla with Charles Caiman

I'm sure, if Sony can do this release properly and treat it will....this could be MAJOR demo material...the movie was okay...I'd own it in the collection......lots of potential here!

Should be good eye-candy. I enjoyed the movie. It may have done better if they had just changed the name and not link it to the Japanese film.

I've been waiting forever for this film! Got rid of my 5 dollar un-anamorphic copy like 5 years ago and haven't seen it since.

Plus, November 3rd is rocking!!!

Damn, and The Lord of the Rings comes out that day too! Nice! I just want to see the scene with Godzilla coming to New York for the first time. That sequence had me breathless as a kid.
