Soccer moms and other upright citizens, take cover. Paramount Home Entertainment has announced that it will release the irreverent and profanity-laden animated movie 'South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut' on Blu-ray on October 13. Video will be 1.85:1 1080p with a Dolby TrueHD soundtrack, accompanied by English, French and Spanish subtitles.
That's funny, we watched SP:BLU a week ago, for the first time in years, and I thought, "They're NEVER gonna come out with a BR of this, why would they bother?" But I'd sure love it, and I'd definitely love it if they included some of the scenes that were cut to avoid the NC17 rating.
Awesome news, i think the movie is a little dated (the show has evolved in leaps and bounds in terms of animation, subject matter and characters since the movie came out) but its still fun and the songs are still hillarious. Nice to see we'll get a commentary (matt and treay are interesting to listen too) but i do wish there were more in depth extras
I'll also second that i want Team America ASAP Paramount!
I would think there'd be more extras than just these three! I love "S.P." and will def get this one, but I'd love to see a "behind the scenes.." doc on it. Oh well, Trey & Stone won't do anything conventional.
That commentary track alone is enough to get me to upgrade from my commentary-less DVD copy. Matt & Trey do awesome commentaries, my personal favorite being the one for Cannibal the Musical. Oh, and that Brian Boitano video was pretty amusing as well.
@ PossumPete Are you kidding me? There have been at least 4 episodes that reference Star Trek that I can name off the top of my head. Roger Ebert Should Lay Off the Fatty Foods (or The Plane-arian episode), City at the Edge of Tomorrow, where a kid on the bus is dressed in a red Star Trek uniform, referencing the fact that people who wear red uniforms are always the first to die, Fourth Grade has two nerds who argue the entire time about the number of episodes in the original Star Trek series, and the more recent Pre-School episode, where they burn the teacher and she is now in a machine that was used in The Menagerie episode of Star Trek.
I'm hoping for more extras, but the commintary and music video should do. Hoping Team America is next, for that will also be a firest day pick up aswell.
