You don't talk about it, but an early announcement to retailers indicates that 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment is set to release David Fincher's thematically controversial and visually arresting movie 'Fight Club' on Blu-ray on November 17. There is no information on audio/video specifications or special features at this stage.
about freaking time! This has been on my wish list forever, right up there with Leaving Las Vegas and Pulp Fiction for as long as I've owned a blu-ray player!
I was only in the forums yesterday declaring my loathing of Fight Club, and today they announce a Blu-ray release... Maybe if I trick Lucasfilm by declaring my "hatred" for the Star Wars Saga that will force them into action and get them on deck asap!!!
I am Jack's complete lack of surprise. (Amazon's had it for pre-order for ages.)
YES!!!! I'll buy Fincher any day. Hope they don't use the same encode from the German release, but I'll take the import's DTS-HD 7.1 (hopefully they'll upgrade it to DTS-HD MA and keep 7.1 and not down grade it to 5.1...then again it's Fox, not Lionsgate). Fox better include all the extras from the double disc DVD release, which Entertainment Weekly once called the #1 DVD to own. I misplaced my DVD a couple years ago and have been waiting for this.
day one for me too i've been waiting for this to drop for sometime was tempted to import but read the transfer wasn't up to par so I'm thankful i waited
I don't understand why people like this movie so much. First time I saw it I thoght it was idiotic at best, I gave it another try but came back with the same conclusion. I definitely would pickup Se7en.
I think it'd be funny if it just all of a sudden shows up in stores on a Tuesday w/o any advertising or pre-orders since well, first rule of Fight Club is...
This is one of those movies I watched over and over on DVD but overtime all I can say is that it hasn't aged well for me (nor has Seven). To be honest pretty much anything from the 90s to today gets a pass from me. I'm keeping my DVDs of most things and spending money on favorites from the 80s and back.
