Even though it is still not officially announced, our friends over at The Digital Bits have the scoop on the special features that the Blu-ray of 'Fight Club' will include when it releases on November 17. At first sight, it seems that most if not all of the bonus content present in the two-disc DVD will be on the Blu-ray.
Special features will include:
Four commentaries:
Director David Fincher
Fincher and actors Brad Pitt, Edward Norton and Helena Bonham Carter
Novelist Chuck Palahniuk and screenwriter Jim Uhls
Crew (Alex McDowell, Jeff Cronenweth, Michael Kaplan and Kevin Haug)
Seven deleted and alternate scenes
Featurettes:
A Hit in the Ear: Ren Klyce and the Sound Design of Fight Club
Nice to see them keeping all the Extras, One of the best 2 disc dvd's created and hopefully a top tier for Blu.
Chuck's audio commentary is great if you haven't listened to it before, and also to have Fincher do a commentary is a total treat.
I thought this would be a film I would love forever at one time but over the years it's worn very thin on me and I even sold off the 2 disc set on DVD. I'll pass. Give me more films like Quo Vadis or South Pacific. I want classics, not 90s hyperbole.
