Retailer Leaks October Release Date for Transformers 2 BD

ONLINE DATE 24th OF AUGUST 'Transfomers: Revenge of the Fallen' might be closer than we thought. One of our eagle-eyed forum members walked into his local FYE store and spotted a poster informing that the movie would be out on DVD and Blu-ray on October 20. Of course, this must be considered unofficial and tentative until there is an official announcement by the studio. No other release details are available at this time. As you can see, that particular retailer also advertised an exclusive limited- edition steelcase packaging, but that might be for the DVD only. That would put the US release date over a month ahead of the UK release date, which was just revealed to be on November 30. Thanks to forum member king_dbz for posting this.

That was sorta quick, I mean, if it were to turn out true. Isn't Star Trek coming out in November, and that came out a few months before Transformers 2, and there the same studio? That's cool, it will be a nice, early birthday present for myself.

"Exclusive Limited Edition Steelcase Packaging" Damn. Only FYE has an exclusive for the steelcase? I'd hate to pay their crazy prices for it.

The October date wouldn't surprise me at all. If I recall correctly, the first Transformers was turned around on DVD and HD-DVD very quickly. Wasn't it something nuts like 3 and a bit months, from cinema to shop?

I'd heard October 27 a few weeks back and that is what is listed on DVDAF. It will happen either on the 20th or the 27th. Why is everybody so surprised? It makes sense and I for one am looking forward to it

i cant even buy it cause of the region 1/a thing. suck. can anyone help by telling me what region paramounts releases are? i take it they are releasing this or is it dreamworks? you would all no my pain if you knew how far behind new zealand is.

Hope this is true, would be great to get this movie so quickly. The first film came out rather quickly on dvd so its not a stretch to assume this one will.

Well, FYE shouldn't be wrong and I'm definitely not buying this crappy piece of shit. This movie was pretty bad. I know many fans of the first one will give this film full high praise, guess what...I AIN'T ONE OF THEM!

Thanks! I'll be sure NOT to buy this movie. I really don't understand the hype with this movie but people like it. Good thing is that it will perform great on Blu-ray and will be another big step in advancing the format. Hopefully along with bigger numbers than Watchmen, it will have a bigger market share.

Yeah put me down for this too (the other being T4). (Both blind buys and yes I have a pretty good idea of what I'm getting myself into, but getting 'em anyway... will I ever learn????)
