Come on guys no way was this better than pulp fiction,Res dogs or even jackie brown!!!!!. It was better than both kill bills and the average death proof so comes in the middle ranking of tarantino films but wasn't a masterpiece. The thing that really bugged me was the fact the film couldnt make out what it wanted to be?..one minute serious in tone..the next funny..the next outrageuos and campy! still i enjoyed it and will get it for christoph waltzs amazing performance. That opening scene was genius!

...couldn't that be said of all of QT's work?
No..coz Reservoir dogs and jackie brown were fairly straight pieces with a touch of humour but are more serious dramas. Yes kill bills and Pulp were more outrageous but i want Quentin to do what he does best and basterds ain't it..still a good movie though dont get me wrong. Apart from christoph waltzs brilliant performance it was just ok for me.
This movie is definitely the best one of the year. I find Tarantino's ability to direct actors to their best, around a script in gold, where every dialog is an instant classic. Also, the reference in style to the Bad The Good and The Ugly at the beginning is brilliantly executed. I saw it 3 time, and going in the theater the 3rd time I thought I'd be bored, but sharing this movie with other people is extremely rewarding, and I came out, again, with a big smile on my face.
Way to go Quentin, please keep on making movies that show Hollywood that a great movie isn't always about giant transformable robots and sexy teenage girl.
I can't wait for all the special features, and I'm very interested in all the actors and the making of it! What a treat for Christmas!!
