@maidenbrain NOTLD is in the public domain. Any company can release it if they want, there are
no rights to worry about.

Also, many of us DO want The Crazies, thank you very much.

Awesome news!
Figured it would be out soon considering the remake is on its way... Maybe this will line up with the remakes Blu release.

@maidenbrain, I heard that last years NotLD release by the Weinstein company was pretty good. BTW though, Blue Underground no longer has the rights to Suspiria. They belong to the Weinstein Company now. I for one am glad to see The Crazies announced. Was waiting for the announcement to tie in with the upcoming remake.

Good news. But I'd like to see "Martin" finally get a good release. It's one of Romero's best and definitely his most overlooked work.

@benricci, I should've said own a decent copy of the NOTLD print, that is worth releasing. And, yes, The Crazies, is a good flick (own it on DVD).

@JoeBidinger, I wasn't aware of NOTLD Weinstein Co. release. Alas, if in fact they do own the HV rights to Suspiria, what with their spotty record of releasing movies (e.g. Kill Bill The Whole Bloody Affair, which they might not have the HV rights to anymore, and The Road), I probably shouldn't hold my breath for a soon release.

More Romero = Good news. However, I'm still upset no NOTLD. Why the Weinstein's didn't
release it last year along side the Remastered 40th Anniversary DVD and Diary of the Dead is
beyond me.

To maidenbrain: For your information, The Crazies is the Romero flick I was anticipating the most on BD. Not everyone wants the same movies. One man's treasure is another man's junk or however that saying goes...

"Aspect ratio: 1.66:1
Original aspect ratio: 1.85:1"

Uhm, shouldn't that be the other way around? Seems odd that they would change an original 16:9 to a pillar-boxed version, doesn't it?

I am ashamed to say I have never seen this movie. I love George Romero and his films and will definately buy this on Blu.
