I think we got most of the good Arnold movies on bluray and the ones I liked I already own. Jingle All the Way DC is left as well as True Lies but that's about it.

Though we could do with a Conan release, I'd like to see that updated.

You're right, most of Arnolds good ones are out already. Can't wait for True Lies. Now I just need Demolition Man, Daylight and Driven for Stallone

Yeah lots of Arnold is out, too bad so many of them are botched Blus. Term 2 got a nice clean up, but Terminator, T-3, Predator, Commando, and Total Recall all need MAJOR remastering and lossless audio and better extras...and Last Action Hero??? yuk! Where's Red Heat, The Running Man, and Raw Deal???

I agree, although Last Action Hero isnt a bad film, when is The Running Man, Conan and True Lies. These are by far the best ones yet to be released

Cliffhanger is my favorite Stallone action vehicle (78% on R/T's). The mostly exterior-shot film is a natural candidate for a hidef upgrade, especially during the opening sequences in the dramatic Italian Dolomites. Great casting, rounded off by a definitely easy-on-the-eyes Janine Turner. Keeping fingers crossed for decent transfer. Couldn't care less about BD-Live.

Hopefully Last Action Hero will finally be anamorphic widescreen. DVD was always presented in fool screen...........

Excellent news about CLIFFHANGER, but the specs make no mention of the trailer - Sony...dudes...do you not realize the trailer for CLIFFHANGER is considered one of the (if not THE) greatest trailers ever produced???? It better be included, preferably in HD!!!

Guydowood, I actually have a 16x9 DVD of Last Action Hero. There was a time when Sony released all their movies in anamorphic widescreen, but then decided to release titles in full-frame only. The transfer was quite good, but I can't wait to see it shine on Blu.

And the farmer line has always been one of the best quotes in cinema history!

I got scammed by Sony last year in regards to Last Action Hero. They released a double pack with it and something else (I think it was Iron Eagle), was told by Sony reps that it was an Anamorphic version, cover art images I saw confirmed it, had to order it in at my local store, got home and it was Foolscreen. I don't see the logic in Sony giving us these 4:3 releases when they're one of the top sellers of 16:9 screens. With this, Muppets from Space is the only Foolscreen DVD from Sony I need to move to Blu-ray.

But, I'll probably pick this up, as most Sony titles are fairly cheap. As for Arnold titles, all I really want now is True Lies, which I have a feeling will arrive next spring with Avatar.

These titles are not going to inspire anyone to buy Blu-rays.

Cliffhanger is good.

Last Action Hero is stupid, but it sets out to be. Arnold plays himself in his cheesy movies. The kid running around with him isn't that annoying and even gets out a couple of good lines. For example, after landing in an Arnold movie he sees F. Murray Abraham walk up and says 'Don't trust that guy! He killed Mozart!'

Its worth a rent

Oh YEA! This is the best news I've seen on this site for monthes! I may pick up Cliffhanger, though the DVD I own isn't bad neither, but I'm definately picking up Last Action Hero, only because the DVD I have and could only find is the full screen release which has a very cheap menu and poor picture quality.

RottenTomatoes' scores: Cliffhanger = 78%; Last Action Hero = 34%....no need to do the math. 'LAH' makes Cliffhanger look like Citizen Kane by comparison, altho both are considered guilty pleasures.

LAST ACTION HERO is one of the smartest and most overlooked films of Arnie's career. CLIFFHANGER is Stallone's best actioner outside of his major franchises. Will be buying both without hesitation.

Cliffhanger is up there with Jurassic Park and Backdraft as my favorite movies of the 90's. I'll pass on Last Action Hero though. I didn't mind Arnie's humor, but the kid in it was just annoying. I'm still waiting on the director's cut version of Commando to be on blu ray.

I wish they could put Cliffhanger and Ace Ventura 2: When Nature Calls in a two pack. (the opening of AV2 spoofs Cliffhanger's famous opening, if you didn't know)

I will be interested in Cliffhanger only if there is a proper remastering. The current blu-ray available in the UK and Australia is absolute garbage. Personally, I wish they would release a full-blown SE with not only the trailer in HD (agreed that it is one of the best trailers of all time!), but also the extended workprint version that I still have not seen.

The news that Last Action Hero is coming to Blu absolutely made my day!!! This is in my top 5 movies of all time, and still ranks as one of the most misunderstood movies in history. I have the Superbit DVD and have watched it at least twice in the past year. Sarcasm is my favourite form of humour, and this film oozes sarcasm from the first to last frame. And you can quote IMDB and RT ratings all you like... they are just numbers, and as any self-respecting film-buff can tell you... no review or score can tell you whether you will like a movie or not.
