Pride & Prejudice (2005) Coming to Blu-ray

In an early announcement to retailers, Universal Studios Home Entertainment has revealed that they will bring the Keira Knightley film 'Pride & Prejudice' to Blu-ray on January 26th. Not to be confused with the 1995 BBC miniseries of the same name, which was released on Blu-ray earlier this year, this 2005 motion picture is coming to Blu-ray for the first time. Technical specs have not been announced at this time, though you can expect to see a 1080p VC-1 video presentation accompanied by a DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack. Special features have not been announced at this time.

bought the 1995 BBC series, i don't think you can adequately do the novel in a 2 hour movie. rent the series if you haven't...its 5 stars!

YES! I can replace that accidentally bought "foolscreen" edition that's taking space on my DVD shelf. Good movie, I'll pick it up though when it's cheap. Might even get the "Atonement" disc too.

Yeah, the soundtrack is beautiful. The same composer also did Atonment's music and he won an Oscar. Aww, all you hubbies make me proud getting this for your wifey! She will definitely be happy! Need to get me a Blu hubby, lol! ; )

Great movie. The HD DVD (the what?) looked great. Should look even better on blu-ray.
