Optimum's January-March Blu-ray Slate

Blu-ray Movies Optimum Home Entertainment is set to release over a dozen films on Blu-ray in the UK between January and March 2010. Titles run the gamut of genres, from Nouvelle vague to George A. Romero's latest zombie escapade to 1970s erotica. No information on disc specs, special features or region coding is available at this time.

Here is the schedule:

January 11: January 18: January 25: February 1:
  • Tekken (Dwight H. Little, 2009)
February 8: February 15: February 22: March 1: March 29: The cover images of the delayed 'The Ladykillers' and of Jean-Luc Godard's 'Breathless' (À bout de souffle, or as some software spellcheckers suggest, About the Soufflé) and 'Pierrot le fou' indicate that they will be part of the Studio Canal Collection.

There is some really good stuff here. The Wicker Man, Emmanuelle, Breathless to name a few. Here is hoping to good transfers and region free.

"Brotherhood of the Wolf" - YES....just so it includes the very cool material in the DVD release! The French Blu-ray does not aparently

The Wicker Man... about time !!!!

I guess they will release the shortened version, since the original negative is thought to be lost. :-(

"Brotherhood of the wolf" will be good news if a) includes extras b) it's region free. If not, it will be the same as the french release (already english friendly).
