Rumor: Road to Perdition Blu-ray Coming Soon

One of our fellow forum members from Denmark is telling us that he has scored a copy of the Blu-ray of 'Fight Club', which includes a trailer for 'Road to Perdition', labeling it as "coming soon." Note that despite being a Dreamworks title, this movie is distributed in Europe by the local branch of 20th Century Fox. That doesn't necessarily mean that this movie will also get a Blu-ray release in the US, but it gives hope. Thanks to forum member "iFarid".

I think about this movie all the time being on Blu-ray, this is fantastic news for me. Also even if it doesnt get released next year in the US it opens the possibility for an import.

Similar to Fox on PERDITION, Warner Bros. has international rights to THE ISLAND (dir. Michael Bay, 2005). Warner released a BD a year ago but we still have no Stateside BD, as it's a DreamWorks film that we can assume Paramount will handle a Stateside release of. Translation: I'm not holding my breath.

I remember seeing this as a coming soon in a Region 2 release of X Men Origins. Well, it was a part of the blu ray promo so I presume it could be taken as a coming soon candidate

Oh man I really hope that's coming in 2010. I never saw it in the theater and I'd love to get a better sense of the beautiful cinematography in hi-def.
