Pride & Prejudice Blu-ray Gets Detailed

Following up on our announcement yesterday, Universal Studios Home Entertainment has announced the technical specs and special features for the upcoming Blu-ray release of 'Pride & Prejudice', which is scheduled to hit store shelves on January 26th. For this Kiera Knightley film, video will be presented in 1080p VC-1 accompanied by a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack.
Special features for this release include:
- Feature Commentary With Director Joe Wright
- Conversations With The Cast
- Jane Austen: Ahead Of Her Time
- A Bennet Family Portrait
- HBO First Look: Pride & Prejudice
- The Politics Of 18th Century Dating
- The Stately Homes Of Pride & Prejudice

How appropriate that this is being released on the same date as Atonement, another film directed by Joe Wright and starring Keira Knightley (with James McAvoy). Both of these are gorgeously photographed romances. I'm definitely buying Atonement on day one and may pick up Pride & Prejudice simultaneously (or maybe wait a bit for a sale? Depends on the price). |
