Sony Adds Netflix to Network Blu-ray Player

Sony Electronics has announced that owners of the Sony N460 Network Blu-ray Player will now be able to stream video content to the player as part of their standard Netflix subscription. Similar to other Netflix-streaming Blu-ray Players, content is delivered over an Internet connection to the player so it can displayed on the viewer's HDTV.
Sony's most popular Blu-ray Disc player, the PlayStation 3 (PS3) recently received a disc-based upgrade to achieve a similar functionality. No word if other Sony Blu-ray Disc players would receive an update as well.

Very convenient addition for PS3 users. Usually I have to hook up my HDMI cable from my PC to the HDTV. Now i can save some laptop battery if I want to watch 'Once Upon a Time In America' or "Hoop Dreams". Picture quality is pretty much the same as what you would get on your computer screen. I think it just depends on your connection. |

its not actually an update.if you have a netflix account already just request a disc for the ps3.takes a few days to receive it and less than a minute to set up.and yes it works on all ps3. |

Interesting that none of the comments on this article have anything to do with the Sony N460 which is the topic of the article.
I am interested in the N460 to replace my Samsung and would like to hear if the quality of Netflix is as good as my Roku box (I've always felt the Roku gives a better image than a Mac or PC (different technology is used, computers are stuck with Streamlight by Microsoft) |

They should add it to the BDP-S350. |
