Norton Ghost 15 Adds Blu-ray Support

The latest version of Symantec's popular PC backup software, Norton Ghost 15, has added recovery media support for both BD-25 and BD-50 discs. Users who upgrade will now be able to back up their Windows 7 based computers onto a Blu-ray disc via an internal or external Blu-ray drive. Dave Cole, senior director of consumer products, commented, "Norton Ghost has been the essential imaging and recovery product since 1996. Consumers' PCs have never been more central to people's lives, or more at risk due to cybercrime and critical failures. Ghost 15 not only is a powerful disaster recovery tool, but also it adds important features such as Windows 7 compatibility and Blu-ray Disc support to keep current with the way people are using their computers today." Norton Ghost 15 is available now for $69.99.

come on now, we can use external HDD to back it up instead of using blu-ray disc but i know for one thing, it is hard coating

Ext HDDs can still fail. It's magnetic media. It's also harder to setup and transport than merely placing your disc into a BD-ROM.

Acronis True Image Home is MUCH better than Norton's Ghost. It also supports Blu-Ray. When can it get a Blu-Ray.com news article?

External hard drives are cheaper per GB than BDs, but it's always nice to have more options.

Just tried it. Glad I did not buy it. Didn't work and when I uninstalled, it took out other software which I had to reinstall. Ghost has been junk since about version 9.
