Troma's Poultrygeist Blu-ray Gets February Date

Indian-possessed zombie chickens seek revenge! Confirming reports from earlier this month (see blu-ray.com post of November 2), an early announcement to retailers indicates that Troma Team Video will release its first Blu-ray title, 'Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead' on February 23, 2010. No information on audio/video specifications or special features is available at this time.

With Troma Blu-ray i'll have to wait and read some reviews before I buy. They never spent any kind of money for there DVD tranfers, so I really can't see them spending any money on the blu-ray transfers eather. We'll wait and see.

Stuff like this makes me sad. We have movies like this that come to Blu Ray and there some good movies and TV shows that are not on blu and will not see the light of Blu

This is the greatest movie ever made. RUN don't walk to pick this one up. Zombie Chickens for the win! PS - Greatest love song and video scene in a movie PERIOD.

This movie is a hilarious satirical comedy, and those bashing it without giving it a chance need to give it a chance. Troma films are hit or miss, and I'm a huge Troma fan -- you should see my DVD collection of Troma goods. But "Poultrygeist" is my favorite, and in my opinion, the best Troma film ever made.

you can pre order the african queen, and every genre has it's place...as far as pure schlock for the sake of schlock, there are none finer than the films (yes films) of lloyd kaufman and his troma-ites!! also, i do wish that african queen would come out sooner.

This movie was soo dam stupid. Sometimes so stupid that it's funny, most times so stupid that it's horribly unfunny and a complete waste of your time. I respect the fact that this movie has it's share of fans, but I'm pretty sure this movie could only appeal to such a very small portion of moviegoers. There are much better movies that should be coming out on Blu-ray rather than this.

I love Tromaville movies!!! This is great to se ethem making the leap to blu. Just remember that these movies are what they are and do not aspire to be anything more. You either enjoy the ride or you don't. I would love to see Troma release more blu's. The Toxic Avenger movies in a box set would be the best.
