Glad to see Universal announcing more titles, although, I would like to see more announcements soon for other HD-DVD titles (patch Adams, in good company, definately maybe, etc) for early next year

Excellent news! If only Criterion was doing this one, but Uni has been doing pretty good so far...

Criterion had to have lost the rights because issuing a blu-ray would've been a no-brainer because the DVD version sold incredibly well for CC.

Universal also releases this film as one of their catalog titles along with Criterion. I would say they have NOT lost the rights to the film, Universal is just releasing what they have already released on DVD carried over to BD.

I am sure the Criterion release will come sooner or later. I like the film but it puts me to sleep instantly lol

I'd LOVE the Criterion edition to be the blu-ray released... If only Criterion was so slow in releasing beautiful work : (

This is movie is a no brainer double dip from my DVD copy but I'm wondering if Criterion has this scheduled sooner than later, anyone?

Probably my favorite of Terry Gilliam's movies, love it even more than 12 Monkeys and Time Bandits.

Special features are very disappointing considering how much was put into the DVD Criterion....was hoping this release would be similar to The Rock....oh well, still a great movie and I still plan on picking it up.

It is about time this movie is released. A true cult classic in every sense of the word! One of the best drug movies of all time! Ah the wonders of LSD on blu ray!!!

No love for Brazil? Now that's a movie I hope Criterion reworks for BD in the near future!

Juan, thanks for mentioning the D-Box codes as one of the features. I hope you guys can do that with all of your announcements.

For the record, I just checked. Criterion apparently still has the rights since the DVD is not out of print, so perhaps a BD someday.

I'm holding onto my Criterion edition until Criterion puts out a BD Edition themselves.
