Warner Home Video will release 'Whiteout' on Blu-ray on January 19, 2010. This crime thriller set in Antarctica, based on a 1998 comic book miniseries, starring Kate Beckinsale and directed by Dominic Sena, opened theatrically in September but only made $10 million dollars at the box office.
Special features include:
Additional scenes
The Coldest Thriller Ever Story – Kate Beckinsale and others brave disintegrating sets, gale-force winds and -65° lunch hours (BD-exclusive)
Freeze Frame: From Page to Screen – The chronicle of a legendary graphic novel's journey (BD-exclusive)
This flick was delayed again and again from release, no wonder it only made $10 mil. There was no marketing for it, kinda like what happened to Carperter's The Thing back in '82. It looks cool and with Kate to look at, why not?
It was evidently advertised as a horror movie (a very misleading movie trailer) but is in actuality a very slow police procedural thriller. I haven't heard one good thing about this movie.
Well Rotten Tomatoes doesn't justify whether I see a movie or not. I never even go to that site. If I wanna see something, I'm gonna see it whether the Pope says it's bad or not.
Why is there an article announcing this, the movie was terrible.
I mean..terrible beyond debate. It got atrociously low ratings, and as we already know, only made $10M at the box office. It probably cost them $80 to make.
This movie was a failure in every sense of the word.
I have too agree with comment above... Seriously 10 M at opening weekend , no no no Total box office gross lol.... I could have made a movie using my digital camera (Blairwitch) probably gross same or more.... hahahahahaha That has to be one of hollywood biggest tankers ...alltime. Wow Kate Beckinsale fans didn't come through .. sorry i couldn't stop laughing. I lik Kate Beckinsale (not) she just a pretty face. Has no box office command. Production Est. was at 35M.
hopefully they make up over International box office. Hopefully i know i will pass on this one!
Sorry Supergogo, the most financially unsuccessful film has to go to "Home of the Brave." Even Sam Jackson couldn't save that one.

Cost $12 million to make, but only brought in $500,000.
I'll be buying this. I didn't catch it in the theaters, but that was only because I figured I'd just save the money and buy it instead.
Also, there is an article for this because there is an article for basically every movie that gets announced as coming out. Just because you think it's crap because it got low ratings and bombed at the box office doesn't mean a thing.
Yes this movie was seriously one of the worst I have ever seen. Terrible acting, dialogue and it cannot decide whether it wants to be a thriller, horror or drama and it ends up being a comedy. So laughably bad. I was so sorry I spent $10 to see it and I NEVER complain about a films atrociousness. Nothing can redeem it. I wouldn't even bother with a rental. It's a real chore to sit through.
