Bourne Movies Get Separate Blu-ray Releases

Good news, for me at least. I had been holding out on these for the hopes of individual releases. Spending just under $20 a title in the box set is just too much for catalog titles for me. Although at first they will for sure be more expensive on a per title basis, there is the ability of more price flexibility on the down side. Maybe now I will be able to get all three of the titles eventually for less than the box set is currently going for. Then again Universal may lower the price of the box set to a more resonable price for the three catalog titles as well. |

I think this is great and about time. I've resisted buying the boxset as I don't care for them much, and also they're expensive. I prefer to buy single BD's at my own pace as opposed to being forced to buy a boxset. I'll get them all eventually, as I really like the Bourne movies, but it may take a year. |

alphadec, yes. all 3 Bourne movies are available individually but their cost is still a bit high. about 15 euro each. that's about $22.49 per movie |

neos_peace, I'm the opposite. Absolutely loved Ultimatum (and Supremacy as a close second), but didn't care much for Identity at all. Maybe I'm just a big Greengrass fan in general. (On that note, I'm really looking forward to Green Zone next year. ^_^) |

I've had these for a while now in the single case form. Purchased the set at Blockbuster used for $29.99 + tax. When Blockbuster has collections, the studio gives them individual covers for each rental unlike what we buy at say Best Buy which is a box in either digipak or slimcase form. If you go to Blockbuster and look at say the digibook movies from WB, they will have a regular cover art sleeve. I've seen this with Shawshank Redemption, Poltergeist, etc. They give you the rental box with the cover underneath the plastic. The cover is not glued down so no need to worry about it being ruined. If you have blu cases your already set if not ask a clerk at Blockbuster they might have a couple lying around. |

I picked up the box set the last time DeepDiscount had their big sale for $52. That's about $17.33 per movie. Not super great but a decent price I think considering I did enjoy all three movies and they all got great PQ and AQ ratings. I didn't care for the shaky-cam stuff in the last two movies but it didn't ruin it for me. |

wish sony would do this with the spider-man trilogy since the only good one in there is the second one. at least all of the bourne films are enjoyable but it will be nice to hopefully get them for cheaper. |

I don't see the point. You have to own the trilogy.. Who would want to buy them individually? |

as above ur right(mishal) yeah why would you want to buy them separately,, if starwars 4,5,6 came out on blu-ray who would buy just the one disc ...... |

"Identity" is by far my favorite and looks amazing on bd. looks better than the second one which looks a little soft. (may be the way it looked, but I always hoped it might look better when they released the bd). the third film was a disappointment imo as things were resolved too soon, and unfortunately it just feels like too much of a retread-"stone".
the first and second film are amazing. |

Exactly, I thought the second one was not that good to me, especially the fact that there was really no good action in it. So I was waiting to pick the 1st and the 3rd hence they release them individually. |

I don't see why they're releasing them seperately, unless some people just don't like all 3. |

Figured this was gonna happen sooner or later. I guess good things come to those who wait (case in point, those who didn't get the box set back on Jan. 27, 2009). |
