According to sources cited by specialized site TV Shows on DVD, Image Entertainment has begun preparing the classic television series 'The Twilight Zone' for release on Blu-ray during 2010, possibly using the high-definition masters struck when the studio released the Definitive Edition DVD sets in 2004-2005.
No more edition details are known at this early stage.

As long as IMAGE can stay out of bankruptcy, or not get involved in any more silly buyout deals, it looks very good. |

This is a good news. However as far as I am aware the French edition has much better quality and sound than the English edition. So I am not aware who was using which master... |

Jeez, only completed my full DVD set earlier this year. I doubt I'll upgrade, as much as I'd like 'em on BD though, the cost cannot be justified...... yet! |

Oh baby!!! I called it about a week ago when they posted the story here about Image's BD profits. Twilight Zone... one of the greatest tv shows of all-time and Image's flagship property. How they approach this will be of major concern to me but I would think we'd at least get the definitive season-by-season sets. I wonder if they will add any new content in addition to what is on the most recent Definitive DVDs. |

I would love if they included Spanish Subtitles, cuz the series has a LOT of Mexican and Latinamerican fans... so, please don´t forget about us and include this option on the new versions... Thanxsz

Witness an obsessed fan who has been around the block in Twilight Zone more times than a postman.
They will look wonderful since the Definitive Edition DVD sets look so close to HD quality...I knew this would happen when I got the 5 season set half a year ago (after getting all the singles over the years). I'm in a trap of my own design, and will most likely react like a junkie. |

It's sad, when I see the word "twilight," my mind jumps to that teeny, vampire movie. It is no longer associated with the Twilight Zone. |

Easily one of my favorite TV series, if not my all-time favorite. I already have the complete series on SD DVD, but once the Blu-ray box of the complete series is available at a price I feel is reasonable I will acquire it.
This is just a rumor so it may not actually happen. Nevertheless it is a nice surprise that there's already talk of issueing BDs of classic TV shows. I suppose I should hold off on buying any more popular classic TV series until each has gone Blu. |
