The Germany branch of Universal Studios Home Entertainment has given two pleasant announcements for fans of 'Inglourious Basterds'. Firstly, the release is being pushed forward by a full month to January 14, 2010; and secondly, there will be three separate Blu-ray releases: a standard edition, a SteelBook edition, and a Limited Collector's SteelBook edition with all kinds of collectibles.
The collector's steelbook edition will only be available at Amazon.de and will be limited to 1,000 units. Contents will be as follows:

Nice! - It shows $57.99 but in German or whatever, currency - quick, what's the conversion rate, anyone? I would love to have the one of 1000 Limited Steelbooks!

for the ones thinking that it is the steelbook that is limited to 1000 (like Aerodude73) think again. The limited-ness of the 2nd set with the steelbook inside is about the other goodies inside (comic book, cards ect).
I know, but I think most people won't be able to be happy with a censored steelbook - the UK release also features the postcards and has the same artwork... What use is a steelbook anyway, when the cover is just bad? Not to mention the huge FSK-seal... But buy what ever you like the best - I just wanted to warn potential buyers not aware of the German censorship.
