Last month Summit Entertainment informed that The Twilight Saga: New Moon would be available at all retailers when it releases on March 20 (yes, a Saturday). However, individual retailers are offering exclusive Blu-ray editions, with additional disc content, collectibles and packaging, notably Target's exclusive Two-Disc Deluxe Edition.
This edition (which is already up for preorder) includes a film cell and a second disc with "never-before-seen" content, including interviews with Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. The total running time of that content is unconfirmed.
The following special features are common to the Special Edition and the Deluxe Edition:
- Behind-the scenes documentary in six parts:
- Life After Twilight
- Chris Weitz takes the helm
- The Subtle Details
- Time to Shine
- Tricks of the Trade
- Ready for the World
- Band rehearsal footage with Muse
- Music videos from Death Cab for Cutie, Anya Marina, and Mute Math
As with many other new releases, Best Buy will sell an exclusive steelbook. And Borders will also have an exclusive edition with a medallion, but only for the standard-definition release.
Update
Bonus features for Special Edition and Deluxe Edition clarified (see above).

Hopefully the 2-disc will be made available to a retailer in Canada! I know Future Shop is getting the steelbook... |

The second disc looks like the same content that was previously on the regular Blu-ray edition, as posted on this site. Which is correct? So this edition would include only a film cell and different cover, right? |

Hopefully it's a silver plated steelbook so one can melt down into silver bullets to kill emo werewolves and a stake to kill sparkly vampires. |

bookcase - not sure about what was posted already on this site w/ the regular edition, but for the Target Exclusive for the first movie, Twilight, Target DID have additional content on their 2-disc compared to what other retailers had. |

bookcase - maybe they'll update the contents as we get closer to the dates. I just know that Twilight Target Exclusive Edition had more content than the regular Blu. |

Thanks! I changed my pre-order to Target just in case. The wife wouldn't be happy if I got an inferior version. |

I hope that someone gets all those features from the UK editions onto a US exclusive. :-( Definitely would like to see deleted and extended scenes. |

Having those features exclusive to the UK is odd, but since it says Exclusive to the UK, I doubt we'll see them. |

I'm all for importing the UK version if it is region free and the extras aren't in 50i. |

Yet again dumb exclusive release. Hate it when they do something like that. Everything should be available everywhere |

I'll take either shape or form day one, but I would prefer a steel case from BB. |

target's web site says that their exlusive 2nd disc will have over 60 minutes of "never before seen" content. like someone said earlier, i'll get that one bc the girlfriend would never want an inferior version. |
