Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has officially announced An Education for release on Blu-ray on March 30. This coming-of-age drama, about a teenage girl in 1960s suburban London whose life changes with the arrival of an older man, was nominated last week for three Academy Awards (best picture, performance by an actress in a leading role, and adapted screenplay).
Special features include:
Commentary with director Lone Scherfig and actors Carey Mulligan and Peter Sarsgaard
Agree with the above what a wonderful film. I think Sandra Bullock deserves the Oscar more, but i'm sure in the future Carey will surprise us with another extraordinary performance like in An Education.
Yep, this was a great movie and Carey Muligan was even more great, brilliant performance. A good movie for every young woman to see. Not sure if it's a movie I'd have in my collection though to watch again.
This was the only Best Picture nominee that I'm sorry I missed in the theatre, look forward to finally seeing it on Blu. And if Sidibe or Meryl can't win the Oscar, I hope it goes to Mulligan, anyone but Jim J. Bullock.
A friend dragged me to this movie and I can't thank her enough...well written, outstanding cast.
Is Carey Muligan the new Audrey Hepburn? She certainly deserves the statuette as Best Actress. I've pre-ordered this BD.
Carey does reminds me of the elegance beauty of Audrey Hepburn. In a perfect world, I think she takes this year Oscars easy, but unfortunately we don't live in such world, oh well.
