2012 Blu-ray Special Features Sneak Peek

  The megablockbuster 2012 hits store shelves next Tuesday, and Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has made available some never-before-seen clips from the special features included in the three-disc edition Blu-ray, discussing the scientific premise for the film, the special effects for the LA earthquake sequence, and Roland Emmerich as "master of the modern epic."

I never saw this movie and all I read is negative reviews. However, with the great video/audio transfer and the many special features on the blu-ray, they are intriguing me to buy this. |

I've enjoyed everything Roland Emmerich has done (except for "Godzilla"), so this will be a blind buy for me. |

ppl need to stop being snobs imo. i mean don't go into this movie expecting oscar nods. but the movie is good for what it is. popcorn flick to the max. |

I love Emmerich's films except 10,000 BC. I even liked Godzilla. 2012 was fun for what it was, a popcorn flick. I totally agree with minimafiaaj. |

I stopped watching the clips because I haven't seen it yet. I'll wait til Tuesday, then it'll be "Beer,popcorn, and a movie night". |

I didnt get the chance to catch this movie in the theaters but from the movie trailers I saw I know I will love it. The Special effects look awsome and I am sure that the transfer from Sony is gonna be excellent. A blind buy for sure. |

I enjoyed this movie very much at the theatre! The CGI was amazing and it takes you on a roller coaster ride. This is a day one buy for me. |

I saw this in the theater...and it was certainly worth the price of admission. The effects were great...and the story was even a fun ride. Of course, I love a good disaster movie. Not sure yet if I will buy this one...but am seriously thinking about it. If you haven't seen it and don't think you want to buy it...I would highly recommend it as a rental at least. |

man, this movie was awesome...i loved it...it was high octane from scene 1 to scene 20...open yourselves to it..it rocks and if u have a great system...u wil be in heaven....awesome BluRayyyyyyy |

@minimafiaaj, I agree, some movies are meant to be just enjoyed carefree without having any HIGH expectations of movies that are meant to just be enjoyed. Plus, PQ/AQ is going to be truly an eye candy for all ages. |

I am right there w/ Blu-ray Fanatic (well, not literally mind you)...its a good beer..popcorn and movie night when 2012 comes out. Its nothing great..not by a long shot but its a fun (and hopefully loud) ride. |

I enjoyed this movie as well because it was a very entertaining action/popcorn flick. A lot better than Day After Tomorrow but I love that movie as well. This is a definite buy for me. |

Is there any way to view these clips via BD-Live? I would much rather watch them in my home theatre than on my computer. |

Love how that first clip kind of shoots down the theory of man-made climate change. And this coming from a movie by the same director that made "The Day After Tomorrow". Oh..the irony. |
