In new proof of the power of a global enthusiast community, a member of a Danish home theater forum has posted advance pictures of the Polish release of the upcoming Alien Anthology Blu-ray box set, including a limited edition with alien-egg packaging. The box set reportedly consists of six discs and its release date is set for the fourth quarter of the year.

Regarding the box set itself, two product images have been leaked. It is not clear which of them will be used; maybe they are for different territories, or maybe one will be the artwork used on a slip cover, and the other inside.

Yeah, but what do the individual-release packages look like? You know, the ones for the single-movie sets that are going to come out on the same day as the box set... right, Fox?
I really like the white one on the right with the alien head. That looks like it could make for a sleek and compact design. I also hope these are regular size cases with a slip cover like the X-Men trilogy.
that white cover to the right looks absolutely sick! i would almost be tempted to have that set facing out (compared to the rest which are shown by spine). and it would be really sweet if it was either a) steelbook set (doubt it) or b) a very nice and shiny cover and not just plain cardboard / plastic. but either way, so stoked.
Really, REALLY sick of other countries getting these amazing box sets while we get a simple box. That Japanese Quadrilogy Xenomorph head being chief among them. These eggs look awesome....but we won't get them. We'll just get a simple box like last time.
Not loving the Alien wrapped around the egg. The egg idea is cool, but adding the (out of scale) Alien just makes it silly, IMO.
But, I'm sure there will be tons of packaging variations all around the globe. We'll be able to pick whichever one works best for us. Looking forward to this!
I'll pass on the collectible packaging because you pay a lot for something which generally just doesn't look good! Just give me the BLU's please; already own enough Master Replicas, HCG & Sideshow collectibles.
I love that white-box/Alien profile design. In fact, I prefer the white box, even though it's quite simple, to the egg edition (the LE edition). The egg looks cool but I hate clutter, which is what I'd likely consider that after a couple months.
...hmmm, maybe they should uses the original A L I E N font format; would look loads better, def. go for the egg edition instead of some OTT Alien head version.
Meh.......who cares really. I own the DVD set and would only do a double dip for Aliens, which ain't gonna be released individually for a while. A year or more like it took with the Batman Blu Box
The Alien Queen white box looks killer!!!!! Please Fox video, DO NOT release some generic P.O.S cover. The Aliens franchise has a RABID fanbase. "Do NOT F*CK with us!!!" (Like how I added a quote from another Fox film, Fight Club )
How about just an egg that opens like the real one and then the movies pop out of the top. Or better yet, a horizontal replica of John Hurt and the movies burst from his chest. But seriously, I'll just be getting the regular packaging ... I'm so looking forward to this release!
The artwork is awesome, especially the Xenomorph on the white background - So distinctive, much better packaging than the DVD quadrilogy in my opinion.
would be nice if Fox had asked H.R. Giger to do original artwork in anticipation of the prequel. I couldn't 'gaf' what the box looks like. I only want the films to be all remastered and the alternate Aliens 3 audio to be pristine. This is why I bought my bluray player, added a kick ass receiver that can decode the audio and good speakers. Before I pop these in, my only chore left to do is to rewire my speakers with 14 gauge speaker wire. After I view all of these films and all the extras like 100 times, then I can throw everything out and go back to watching my 27" tube tv with mono sound. oh snap, Star Wars still hasn't come out yet!
