Loewe Introduces Blutech Vision Blu-ray Player

Posted August 30, 2007 10:59 AM by Josh Dreuth

IFA Loewe has introduced the Blutech Vision Blu-ray player. Very little is known about the sleek player at this time, but we do know it will support 1080p24 output, and decoding support for Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD. Also, at a height of only 6cm, it is one of the thinest Blu-ray players on the market. Hopefully we will learn more about this player as IFA continues.

The news this day has been great. I hope that since all of these players coming out with Bitstream support of TRUEHD etc, Sony will do a new firmware update for the PS3 to support these Audio Formats via Bitstream.

It would be great to get a price on ONE of these BluRay players already..hopefully at least one of them will be a low dollar one. Like the Daewoo one, literally ever product they have ever created was low priceline.

Still no news about Warner either..but at least the rest of this is very good news, especially the bit about Acer, and that BR dominates HDDVD in Europe as much as it does here.

Nice do we know if they are really a high end company? we need some low end budget players! but any news is good news at this moment....Does anyone know of any HDDVD news out of IFA? Do they have any new hardware supporters other than Venturer?

Loewe friggin' rocks! No better displays in the world. I've sold them, I have one... I work with them. No one's not deeply impressed by a Loewe picture.

The BDA's strategy seems apparent. The adoption of the Blu-Ray format for the entire world (as it should be). Let Toshiba acquiere more debt. Honestly, I have owned Toshiba products in the past (forget about the "war") and they really SUCK.

Wow, talk about technological advancement over a short period of time. Compare this to Toshiba's 1st gen model from just over a year ago. ...Beauty and the Beast, I'm tellin' you.... nice to see the Blu-ray format offer consumers so much more as far as device selection. I'm among those that care a great deal about the aesthetics of my gear, and it's nice to be able to choose from a much wider range of designs from so many different manufacturers supporting Blu-ray. Cool!

Man, is blu-ray gaining serious momentum or what? Here come the competing lower priced blu-ray players for Christmas to give the HD DVD players a run for their money. Blu-ray is going to win this fomat war. I am 100% convinced at this point. This is the beginning of the end For HD DVD.

It's obvious that BDA has lined up manufacturers that will be producing players to run the gamut of prices. Stop stressing people, the less expensive models have been listed; Daewoo, and Venturer at the least. That's what those 2 companies do, they make inexpensive models that aren't barebones. BDA is gearing up to storm the world like Spartans.
