The 1999 action/sci-fi/thriller movie Deep Blue Sea will be released on August 31, as a Best Buy exclusive. At the moment there is no information regarding the length of that exclusivity window. This title had appeared in a leaked Warner Home Video Blu-ray release schedule early this year (see blu-ray.com, January 27), but nothing had been heard since.
In the meantime, this title came out today for general release in the UK.

Hopefully it won't be long until JAWS gets the blu-ray treatment. Universal is slowly cranking them out. It seems like Warner Brothers is dropping titles left and right.
Sorry to hear about the transfer Brown, I read your user review. What are the audio specs? Is the audio a substantial upgrade from the DVD? I would pick it up in that case.
thedarkangel1975, sadly no but one day there will be and thats what makes LL's the best. In years to come they will say he paved the way for shark or fish related rap anthems with his outstanding achievment in the field of Shark movie soundtracks.

Being a Best Buy exclusive, yes, it will be expensive. But I'll buy it anyway because I really like it and haven't seen it in years.
Wish they would have done the proposed sequel. It was going to be L.A. getting severely flooded and these sharks swimming the streets taking mo fo's down. Would have been SAWAAAATE!
Still one of the biggest (and best) shocker scenes...EVER!! I still remember clearly every single person in the auditorium being jolted out of their seats - and you all know exactly what scene I'm talking about! Don't spoil it in case some on here haven't seen the movie yet.
Not sure what the deal is with these "exclusive" titles are. I don't care if there is only one place to get it. If the price isn't right it will sit there.
I haven't watched this movie in years. I remember finding it pretty entertaining. Should make for a good Blu-ray, again if the price is right I'll pick it up.
