Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced Grown Ups for Blu-ray release on November 9, in a BD/DVD/Digital Copy combo pack. This comedy about five former teammates reuniting for a Fourth of July weekend was another hit for the Adam Sandler/Dennis Dugan team, with nearly $159 million at the box office.
Dear Lord, this was atrocious. I (literally) dare you to name one funny bit (I saw it one week ago at the cinema and cannot remember one joke). That something like this gets made and makes $159 million in the US is beyond me. Yet again, this is the case with most Sandler films.
It's sad that a film like this made so much money. It simply wasn't funny, but I suppose i'm part to blame, I'm a big sandler fan so i paid to see this opening weekend. I was expecting a nostalgic reunion of some of the great comedies of the 90's but what i got was an oversappy punch in the dick bag
Bottom line is that this could have been so great, but everyone just phoned it in with cheap laughs and a dull story
adam sandler movies were great in the 90s, but since the turn of the century, funny people has been his only good movie, thanks in part to apatow/rogen.
I expected more from Grown Ups considering its great cast, but it was just undeniably a big dissapointment. Other than some minor funny moments, it really wasn't funny. Skippin' on this one...
Couldn't catch this one in theaters:( but will definitely be stopping in my local walmart on 11/9 no doubt~There's a chemical in the water that makes your pee turn blue!!
