Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore Blu-ray Announced (Update: 3D Too)

Posted September 16, 2010 03:36 AM by Juan Calonge

Warner Bros.Warner Home Video has announced Cats and Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore (a sequel to 2001's espionage/talking-animal movie Cats & Dogs) for Blu-ray release on November 16, on a BD/DVD/Digital Copy combo pack. This movie will also be available in a 3D Blu-ray version, making it the first day-and-date 3D title for the studio (and for the industry, tied with Dinsey's A Christmas Carol).

Special features include:
  • Coyote Falls: new Road Runner/Wile E. Coyote cartoon (in 3D on the 3D version)
  • Sneak peek of the upcoming Yogi Bear theatrical film
  • Dog Dishing: Tails from the Bark Side of Hollywood
  • The Best of the Best Cat vs Dog Animated Showdowns
  • Meow-Takes: Outtakes and Gag Reel

This wasn't too bad. They didn't make all cats out to be the villains like they did in the first film, and Mr. Tinkles was great in his scenes.

Another all-time classic arrives on blu-ray. Who needs nonsense like Apocalypse Now when we can have this classic?

I liked the first one and didn't get the chance to see this in theaters. Starting to look like 3D day and date is going to start being the norm now! How is that not a great development?

Trailer looked cute, but I'll catch this once it's on TBS 8x/day.

Let the masses scoop this stuff up and keep blu-ray growing, while I spend the next few months grabbing things that the average consumer doesn't care about (Videodrome, Kwai, Apoc Now, Maltese Falcon, Seven Samurai, Mad Max, etc. etc.)

We had this crap playing at work for 4 weeks in july/august. Do you know how painful it was having to listen to this movie 4 times a day every day for for a month. VERY!!
The one negative about a single screen movie palace is that occasionally you get stuck with a DOG of a movie for a extended period of time.
This movie never should have been played on our beautiful 90ft screen for one day let alone 28 days.

And Chipsynder i dont know how you thought the mr tinkles scenes were so great, to me and many of the patrons comming out commenting, those were soome of the worst scenes of the film, he just looked so fake espscially that last scene with him on the beach moving his paw up and down like a cheap puppet.
