Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack for Dreamworks Animation Movies

Posted September 30, 2010 10:21 AM by Juan Calonge

ParamountOn November 30, Paramount Home Entertainment will re-release four titles from Dreamworks Animation as two-disc Blu-ray/DVD combos: Bee Movie, Madagascar, Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa and Monsters vs. Aliens (the latter two had been previously released as retailer-exclusive combos). Disc details are unchanged from the existing single-format releases.

On the other hand, a wide release of Monsters vs. Aliens 3D still hasn't been announced.

'Gares? Let's get Disney/Pixar to release a film worth the polycarbonite on a Blu-ray: THE INCREDIBLES

I want Prince of Egypt. Honestly though it is probably a safe bet that they will never release any of their 2D films on Blu-ray. They have been so slow to bring any of their newer CGI catalog titles that I really doubt their older films will ever get a chance.

Stop with the re-releases.
Bring us Shrek, Shrek 2, Over The Hedge, Flushed Away and Antz.

Or the Aardman productions (Chicken Run, Wallace & Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit, Flushed Away).

These were all Target exclusives when they were first released. Target was the only retailer that you could get these BD/DVD combos from. They are just making them available everywhere now. IIRC, they even had the Kung Fu Panda BD/DVD combo.

First: SHARK TALE.

Next: NEW blu-rays: Shrek 1 and 2. Antz. Others.

Last: Re-releases of movies which are already in blu-ray format: Bee Movie, Madagascar 1 and 2, M v A.

Who cares about re-releases and 3D...Come on, get with the program.

Where is Over The Hedge!? That HD-dvd exclusive fail might be the reason they cant release it.

Anyone who loved these films enough to want to own them probably owned them on DVD first, and then replaced them with the Blu-ray versions, so why would they want the DVDs again? I agree, enough with the re-releases. I want all the remaining Dreamworks Animation catalog titles, but give me Chicken Run and Over the Hedge first!

For those who live in the U.K. SHREK FOREVER AFTER is available for preorder on amazon.co.uk. The release date for that film will be December 6th, so hopefully in the US, it will come out December 7th.
