Universal Studios Home Entertainment has announced that on December 14 it will release the family movie Nanny McPhee Returns (also known as Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang), with Emma Thompson reprising her role from the 2006 Nanny McPhee. Buyers of the Blu-ray will be able to watch one bonus movie (Curious George 2: Follow That Monkey or Beethoven's Big Break), streamed instantly via BD-Live, Smartphone or computer.
I liked the first film for what it was. Didn't get a chance to see this one. It looked okay, heard it wasn't as good as the first, but that's what most sequels are. Will probably get this one off of Netflix.
From the previews it looked incredibly stupid to me. But hey, you never know. I've been surprised over and over by kids movies that I thought were going to be stupid, then turned out to be great fun.
This is actually a good, funny family movie. I was not expecting much, but me and my son really had a good time watching it. Teaches some value lessons to the young ones :-).
Hmm, I saw saw The Big Bang on Blu-Ray over a month ago now (it has been out down here a loong time). I have to say i was pleasantly entertained by this movie and actually prefer it to the Original. Maggie was Hamming it up incredibly, with that I agree. But i found it to be Harmless entertainment, A nice diversion from all the heavy action packed movies I've dieted out on all year .
The Last Airbender would be of the lowest denominator of 2010 for me.
