With the change in seasons also comes a change in promotions. Many have already taken advantage of the Summer Blu-ray Offer - getting 5 free movies with the purchase of a Blu-ray player. That offer ended yesterday, and today there is a new offer - the Winter Blu-ray Offer. As the name suggests, the only thing that has changed is the season and the selection of title. So, from now until January 31st, purchase a Blu-ray player (or PS3) and get 5 free movies by mail.
For full offer details, selection of titles, and order form, visit BluraySavings.com. If you took part in the Summer promotion, you can visit this site to check on your order status.
thanks josh for all your hard work this morning. you are deilivering some great BD news! anyways i can't get the bluraysavings link to work, i am on my ps3 so that could be the problem though.
No, the link is off, I had to erase the %20target. Also, are they confirming the rumored new PS3 with the model numbers? Good news for holiday shoppers with the free movies.
I just bought a PS3 a week ago. Dumb question, but would it be possible to get the new offer? Or can I still find the Summer 5 Free Blu-ray form online?
Here in Mexico sony is also giving 5 free blu-rays with the purchase of the BDP-S1 player. The only problem is the damned price....MX$16,000 or around US$1500 american dollars!!! C'mon Sony!!!
Still waiting on my first set of 5 free movies. I received a nice little postcard yesterday indicating that my expected ship date was moved to 11/04/07. I submitted my form at the end of July.
I sent mine away in July and got it in three weeks. I think they are having a problem stocking the first offer because they ran out of Paramount titles...so that's why you are probably still waiting.
bkbluray, i found the link to the old sale, but I dunno if you can still use it. Here it is, incase it IS still usable. Like you, I got mine recently (September 29th) so Im hoping I can.
this is all bs this is dirty way 2 get people 2 buy a blu ray player.i`ve been waiting over 3 months 4 my movies and so have three of my friends. It really is sad that a company will use an offer like this 2 help push ther sales and not deliver.Theres even a website where u can check your orders and 4 the past 2 months all it sez is processing order. If the 5 free movie offer is pushing your decision, you can just throw that out the window. They got there money they dont care when you get your movies
Thank you so much for the status link for the summer promotion! I've been wondering what's up with my order. It still says pending, but at least now I know they received it, or that some punk kid in my neighborhood didn't steal them out of my mailbox.
And, to the people who think this "proves" the existence of a new 40GB PS3 SKU... those model numbers are for standalone players; the PS3 has its own separate checkbox on the form with no model numbers listed.
I got a couple of questions regarding the mail in rebate offer of the 5 free Blu Ray movies.
First, what EXACTLY is this UPC code Im supposed to find in the outside of the box of my PS3 when it arrives and mail with alongside my "mail in rebate" form?
And second, on the bottom of the form in the fine print it reads: "Store receipts must emanate from the same state as consumer address". Well this wouldn't be a problem if I had purchased my PS3 on a regular corner store but what about Amazon? Will I be rejected because I live in Texas and the receipt will be from whatever state Amazon's warehouse is supposed to be? What's that about? It would be stupid for Amazon to offer this and then reject all of the buyers from different states dont u think?
Please help me.
I brought my ps3 and applied for 5 free BD and nothing came in the mail! What is going on and the reason i brought ps3 with a deal was 5 free Blu ray discs.
What is so great about the "Winter Blu Ray offer? I purchased an eligible Blu Ray player in July and have not received the 5 free discs yet. I just received a postcard telling me the discs are "out of stock" and would ship in November. The postcard stated if I wasn't satisfied I could cancel the order.
That's right...offering to cancel the "order" for free discs. What's my options? Wait longer or don't get anything.
Maybe the Winter Blu Ray offer recipients will get theirs next summer...
Oh well, who cares...the titles are pretty lame anyway...
Yeah, so... I clicked on the link to check the status of my order (had no idea that was even possible) and the movies I have yet to recieve were "shipped" August 23rd. I cant tell you how many times I went out of my way to go check my mail for a package thinking "ooo, I hope they come in today!" I called the 800 number which had me call another 800 number and after speaking with alot of nice people, I get to wait "about 3 weeks" more to get my movies. Meanwhile, my Blu-ray Pla- I mean, PS3 sits there Folding@Home while I wait for a good game to come out or a worthwhile movie actually hits the shelf over here at my local Military Exchange (stationed overseas). This has sucks written all over it... Good thing it was free, right? o_O
