Blue Underground has announced The Nesting (also known as Massacre Mansion and Phobia) for Blu-ray release on June 28. This eerie house-of-horrors movie was co-written, produced, and directed by notorious adult filmmaker Armand Weston, and stars Robin Groves and Academy Award winner Gloria Grahame in her final film role. Long unavailable on home video, The Nesting has been newly transferred in high definition from the original camera negative and is presented here in a never-before-seen director's cut.
I remember always seeing this at the video store back in the good old days and picking it up to read the cover many times, but never rented it. I'll get the blu.
the tagline for the movie is "The Terror That Hides Inside Your Mind".
I have questions of course.
1) What is it hiding from?
2) Isn't terror an emotion and in your mind anyways?
3) What will said terror do when it finds all of the dismembered prostitutes I have hidden in there?
4) Did they screen this for Alzheimer patients? Or people with brain tumors?
5) Do we win something if we find the terror? I got burned on those tootsie pop indians.
6) Is this a social commentary on Charlie Sheen?
Oh, man -- this one has been a long time coming. I remember seeing it on VHS back in the mid-80s. Seem to recall it was pretty good. Definitely preordering!
