Acer have released a new all-in-one PC with the ability to playback 3D Blu-ray and a novel
new gesture control scheme called AirControl. By incorporating Nvidia's 3D Vision, the new
PC will be able to play both 3D BD and 3D games on it's 23" 1080p 3D screen.
The unit also uses Dolby Home Theater v4 for immersive sound and a convincing, realistic experience. It also has an optional DVB-T tuner which can be used in tandem with 3D vision for 3D conversion of TV.
It also has Intel's latest Sandy Bridge processor, up to 2TB of storage and up to 16GB of RAM and an Nvidia GeForce GT440 or GT435M both of which will provide 3D Vision.
Acer haven't released pricing information for the US market but the PC will be available in the UK starting next month from £999 inclusive of VAT at 20%.
I like the looks of this! Although I can't imagine how 3D will look that good on such a small scree? In any event, looks like a step in the right direction for blu-ray!
