Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that 'Spider-Man 3' has become their best selling Blu-ray title to date. Final numbers are a few days away, but it appears that the web-slinging hero managed to surpass sales of Sony's longtime Blu-ray golden-child 'Casino Royale' in its first week of sales.

Go Spidey! I sure hope he can stick it to HD-DVD.
I'm sure his sales are going to hang around awhile.
He might just swing his way to the top...
ok I'll stop now. |

I like the fact that Sony didn’t jump the gun with the numbers like Paramount did with Transformers. I look forward to hearing them. |

Unlike Transformers, Spider-man 3 actually had a plot complete with a twist and some character building to boot. I think it'll beat out TF no problem. |

doesn't matter if Spidey breaks 300, because Ratatouille is going to trounce it next week. and pirates is going to really bust it open on dec. 4. pirates 3 will be the fist 400k seller. |

Glad to see that Sony is not putting numbers out prematurely, like Paramount. I think they should let the numbers talk for themselves. Go Spidey!!! |

Great news. I am sure even if it does not beat out the 1st weeks sales it will beat Transformers throughout the entire holiday season. |

Nobody should be surprised by this.
Blu-ray, quite simply, will be the victor. |

Just remember when we get the numbers from video scan at the end of the week Spiderman 3 will be split into two groups. Individual title sales and trilogy sales. The number that Sony publishes will probably be the combination of both. |
