This movie surprised me at how good it was. It had alot of genuine creepyness to it and the story was very good at keeping your attention and making you care about the characters.
Hate to be the naysayer... but I just didn't get into it :-( Sad thing is, my hopes were high when I saw all of the names behind the scenes. James Wan, Leigh Whannel, and Oren Peli? The men who basically made low budget horror films truly successful? Bring it! *sigh* When all was said and done, I was just disappointed. Maybe I'll give it another shot someday. It wasn't bad, just... eh...
This movie was the first in a long time to creep me out...and I don't get creeped out easily! There were some cheesy elements in the movie, but overall, a great movie to watch alone and in the dark! Will definitely be picking up this blu to experience that again.
Day one. This had genuine tension building up, and I was on the edge of my seat. Although the final act didn't compare to the events leading to it, overall the film is very good, and one of the better horror movies to come out in quite some time. I hope that closer to the date they announce an alternate ending.
