No Country for Old Men Announced

Posted December 13, 2007 12:50 AM by Josh Dreuth

Walt Disney Pictures Miramax Home Entertainment has announced that they will bring one of the highest rated films of the year, 'No Country for Old Men', to Blu-ray on March 11th. Video will be presented in 1080p and accompanied by a PCM soundtrack. Extras should be similar to the DVD release, but nothing has been officially announced at this time.

Cool. Missed it in theaters, wondered if it was from a Blu studio. Good thing it is!

This is the best blu-ray release news, yet. I was kinda disappointed in Miramax for not releasing as much titles as they should since they are part of Disney but finally a wonderful news. Loved the film and I believe it will be on top 5 on most major critics list and top film in mine. Anton Chirguh is the baddest mofo walking the face of movie villains. I'm serious, check it out and then say otherwise.

Tonight was a trifecta for Disney. Pirates selling 160K, The Rookie announced and then this film. I saw this in theaters, a few weeks back, and it was probably one of the (if not the) best film(s) I had watched all year. This makes me happy!

Ah...finally. I'm so glad to learn that this superb piece of masterful filmmaking is going to make it to Blu-ray.

When I saw the movie in theatres and saw the words "Paramount Classics" I went "uh-oh".

This is very, VERY comforting news.

First day purchase.

No Country for Old Men and 3:10 to Yuma were my 2 favorite movies of the year.
I give them 10 enthusiastic fingers up.
Both coming to blu, and only blu, in early 08.

That's hilarious how many HD DVD fanboys thought this was coming exclkusively to the red format, when it's not coming out at all in red.
This will be a definite pick up for me!
