Amazon's Blu-ray Gold Box Deal of the Day affects the Christmas Classics Gift Set. This set collects the following classic animated features from Rankin-Bass.
The Gold Box deal presents the four-disc package at a 57% markdown from its SRP of $44.95; it offers 1080p transfers and 5.1 Dolby TrueHD audio tracks alongside the 1992 Frosty the Snowman-follow-up Frosty Returns and a bonus audio CD with seven holiday favorites sung by Burt Ives, Brenda Lee, the Jackson 5, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, Jimmy Durante, and Bobby Helms.
Through today, Amazon is offering the Christmas Classics Gift Set on Blu-ray for $19.49.
While I do want this, and wal-mart has been selling it for 25 dollars i dunno how long..... I would have bought it day one had it only included Little Drummer Boy. But even at this price I still think i will wait until it has little drummer boy... even though yes any one of these is worth the price.
I bought this just before the Holidays in 2010, Amazon had a sale just like today's, and I don't regret it one bit. Now I have these great Holiday classics on Blu-ray to enjoy every year.
@ Stuart - you are right about the Little Drummer Boy, wish that came with it, hopefully they will add it in someday! Until then, I'm enjoying these three I grew up with, and will hand it down when I'm old.
