Did you get some cash during the holiday season that is just burning a hole in your pocket? Were you extra good this year and got a new Blu-ray player or PS3? Amazon feels your pain, so they are offering up so hot Blu-ray titles at up to 50% off MSRP.
thats right, if they want us to buy they need to do way better than this prices! I can buy a lot of this movies for $15 or $17 with out there cut. We need more....
I wasnt too impressed either FlyFree. I wont be getting anything. I'll wait for the Blu-Ray BOGO!!! What I cant understand is that they are having a HD-DVD BOGO. Why arent they giving us one.
For those of you who are complaining about these prices, you are not the ones who are helping blu-ray win the format competition.
These $'s are far better than you will find at any retail store, and at least as good as you're going to find at other online sites.
If you don't like it just keep it to yourself and stop trying to discourage others from buying movies when they want to. Whining is not productive.
I just picked up Cars & Ratatouille. Was gonna get both of them from Best Buy with my $50 giftcard, but since this is a better deal than locally, decided to order them through Amazon.
I have most of the Disney Blu-rays I want -- but I gladly picked up Lost Season 3.
For sixty bucks, it's an excellent deal. I don't need more to push me to purchase it -- it's a killer presentation of a season that I didn't manage to see in its entirety, and will enjoy immensely.
I think that the disparity in the BD and HD DVD sales is a good sign. Who are they trying to get to buy harder? The side that isn't selling as well. I gotta do some calculating, if I can swing it, I'll pick up Cars, if not I'll pounce on the next sale after I get paid again.
I actually bought some of these titles earlier this month with the 30% off. They already refunded me the price difference. Definitely going to get some more titles. If they get cheaper in the next 30 days, I can always get the difference back. Amazon rocks!
Unfortunately, these are just 50% off of their "list price", which is really SRP. Nobody charges retail price, so this doesn't really seem like a great deal! If most of those were $15 instead of $19, then they would be pretty good! At this point, I feel there should not be any Blu-Ray titles over $20, and they should just about be in the $15 - $20 range! Only things that should be over $20 is multiple disc sets, such as season shows or special collectors sets.
BOGO's have me spoiled... These prices aren't bad at all though. I just don't want to have any more regrets of buying day and date releases and then see them all listed in a BOGO like I have on nearly half of my 120 Blu-rays!! Bad Santa was tempting... lol
Seems to be same price they usually are maybe a few dollars less. The BOGO was the best if titles were good. My Blu Ray experience so far is So-So. Some titles are great and have the same speacial features on the same copies of DVD I own. Others have minimually better PQ and missing most of the speacial features for DVD titles I already own. I will look closely at reviews before buying Blu Ray discs to replace DVD titles I already own.
I have a rewards program with my job in which we get awarded so and so points for such and such. I got some more today and ordered Cars and Ratatouille on Blu-ray, as the rewards program orders from Amazon, and they reflect the same prices (but converted into a points value). Nothing like having your company buy Blu-ray movies for you.
Let's see...jack up the price to $40 and then offer 50%...if they were truly a company looking to save some money for their loyal customers, they ought to give 50% off from their lowest offered prices, or at the very least, 50% off average prices...
