Disney and Dreamworks Home Entertainment will bring Real Steel to Blu-ray next January. This sci-fi adventure takes place in the near future, where sophisticated fighting robots have replaced humans in boxing events. Hugh Jackman (The Prestige) stars as Charlie Kenton, a former promoter who partners with a training robot dubbed "Atom" in an attempt to regain his lost stature and connect with his young son (Dakota Goyo, Thor).
i cant wait to get this film ,it was a very fun film to watch and it had alot to do with strugle .and no i will not be buying a digitial dum ass copy that a waste of money and time.just the bluray thats all.
Well months ago the 'digital copy' version had a $5 coupon you could clip, so I did. I bet the price on it will drop to $25 which means I'll pay $20 or so. Anytime Disney has released a 3D movie they do something similar and I get the 3D version (though I don't even like 3D), for less than 2D.
This is a fun movie with a surprisingly touching father-son story. Watching the Jackman character turn away from being an uncaring deadbeat is cool
Yup - glad to hear (or Read, actually), that this will be in 7.1 (DTS-HD MA) since I missed it theaters.
"There will be two Blu-ray configurations of Real Steel, both of which will include the Blu-ray and DVD editions of the film. The difference is one set will also include a third disc with a digital copy, while the other will not. --- Real Steel on Blu-ray will be presented in 1080p video and 7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio."
@pinewoodpotter: when amazon first put up the pre order for this the 3 disc version had a $5 off coupon, right now my order for the 3 disc version is cheaper than the 2 disc version
This movie was surprisingly very good. I figured it would be a forgettable 2 hours, but It really surprised me, enough to probably put it in my top 15 movies this year. I'll be getting this for sure
