Warner Home Video has announced that they will bring 'Michael Clayton' to Blu-ray on February 19th, day-and-date with the DVD release. Video will be presented in 1080p VC-1 accompanied by a Dolby Digital soundtrack. Extra features include a full-length audio commentary and deleted scenes.
Michael Clayton is an in-house "fixer" at one of the largest corporate law firms in New York. A former criminal prosecutor, Clayton takes care of Kenner, Bach & Ledeen's dirtiest work at the behest of the firm's co-founder Marty Bach. Though burned out and hardly content with his job as a fixer, his divorce, a failed business venture and mounting debt have left Clayton inextricably tied to the firm. At U/North, meanwhile, the career of litigator Karen Crowder rests on the multi-million dollar settlement of a class action suit that Clayton's firm is leading to a seemingly successful conclusion. But when Kenner Bach's brilliant and guilt-ridden attorney Arthur Edens sabotages the U/North case, Clayton faces the biggest challenge of his career and his life.
Wait, a gimped encode and a gimped soundtrack? Oh lovely.
Not even an audio commentary could explain how tremendously misjudged this entire project was. Tilda was excellent, so was Clooney, but seriously, do take better care of writing non-genre scripts next time, Mr. Gilroy.
Most everything in this one was badly misjudged, but you did shoot those horses at dawn beautifully. It's hard, shooting horses at dawn, getting all the reverse angles before the sun comes up, but you pulled it off.
Wish I could say the same about the rest of the concoction.
I saw this one in the theater and found it to be an extremely powerful movie. The acting and story were top notch.
I will buy this one on Feb. 19th no doubt about it.
Lame.......o.
I have lost so much respect for WB as of late..... I don't know if they're worthy to go Blu.
It's like they're authoring these titles for HDud and then trying to think this will fly with us, but it doesn't! - I would never buy a release w/o lossless audio.
Personally I'm thrilled to own this; lossless or not. I'm so glad that my fav '07 flicks are coming to Blu: Gone Baby Gone, No Country for Old Men, We Own the Night and Michael Clayton. Warner needs to stop screwing up their releases.
whososerious i have to say this since it has a crappy audio and video encodes and nothing really special about it i wouldnt think it will be expensive at all but seeing this makes me think if only wb went to blu-ray exclusive so they wouldnt have to give us such a crappy disc. movie itself would be worth it but everything else about this disc would just be more like just giving wb money so that they can go blu-ray exclusive
I really dont know how you guys can slate Warner, so they use a different encription for the movies, can you HONESTLY tell the difference? If you can you must have incredible eyesight, cos i watch my blu rays on a 50" 1080P TV, and i sure as shit cant see any difference. Everyone on this website always talks about how every release is a great thing, and i have been slated for moaning at films released which i think are genuine shit (resident evil) But Warner continue to support Blu ray regardless and what do people moan about here? Lossless audio. Get a grip. there would be very few titles of real substance on the Market without them. Kubrick Collection, Goodfellas, departed, many of the true classics released are Warner. Stop this pompus crap about Warner needing to step there game up, and be thankfull that Blu has there support...........................
I think we got a lot of suburban kids here. What, New York strip instead of fillet mignon, forget it I'm not eating.
Sure I'd like the navigation system in a Porsche Cayman, but if it doesn't come with it that's hardly a deal breaker in my opinion.
Shark, please don't post misinformation and try to make it sound like fact. There are so many incorrect items in your posting, I don't even know where to start. This is not how to support Blu-Ray.
