Warner Bros. has just released the final theatrical trailer for The Dark Knight Rises. The conclusion to director Christopher Nolan's highly acclaimed Batman trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises opens seven years after the events of The Dark Knight as the increasingly alienated Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale, The Dark Knight) struggles to define himself in a Gotham City that no longer appears to need Batman.
Wayne is thrown back into action with the emergence of Bane (Tom Hardy, Warrior), a brutal terrorist set on destroying Gotham. However, Bane's single-minded vengeance and physical strength prove far more effective than Wayne suspects, leaving the fate of Gotham City - and of its costumed savior - very much in question.
Guess I have to wait for the actual movie until i can give my opinion. I remember after seeing the dark knight trailer, I said it looked cheap, boy was I wrong!
It was funny seeing the Football players dying because the were played Steelers, and I hate Steelers. For the trailer...eh, it didn't really interest me. The Avengers Trailer WOW me even more.
Bane's voice was easier for me to understand in this trailer than in that prologue from over the weekend. I'm sure Nolan will do some ADR work with that, though. This looks like it will be the most epic of the three films, so I can't wait to see what Nolan has in store for us next summer.
I'm a huge fan of the Batman movies, but also have to agree the trailer didn't make it look all that great. I'm sure the movie will be good though none the less.
As I'm sure there will be another trailer before the movie is released, I must say BRAVO to Nolan and gang for putting out a trailer that doesn't show everything (as it seems all trailers do these days). It lets you know tht Batman is back again and he's got business to take care of. And knowing that if you liked the first two, this one will be waiting for you to see this summer.
Less is more. I'll be eager to see it all when the movie comes out. Don't need to see it all now.
I hope he spends most of his time in his batsuit. From the trailer it looks like he is in "bruce wayne" mode most of the time. What I liked most about TDK is that he was Batman most of the movie. I admit I am inferring too much from only two minutes of carefully planned trailer footage. I trust Christopher Nolan implicitly.
