Universal Studios Home Entertainment will bring Hop to Blu-ray this March. This CGI/live action hybrid stars the voice of Russell Brand (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) as E.B., the Easter-Bunny-in-waiting who shuns his destiny in order to become a rock-and-roll drummer. E.B.'s misadventures bring him into contact with frustrated slacker Fred (James Marsden, Enchanted), and this relationship ultimately lets both man and rabbit realize their individual dreams.
Universal's Blu-ray/DVD/UltraViolet Digital Copy combo pack presents the feature in its 1.85:1 original aspect ratio with a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track. The disc also has the following supplements:
All-new mini-movie: Phil's Dance Party
"Post Coup Commentary" with Carlos and Phil
The World of Hop interactive map
All Access with Cody Simpson feature
Russell Brand's Kid Crack Ups feature
Three behind-the-scenes featurettes:
- Russell Brand: Being the Bunny
- Carlos on Carlos: The Premiere According to Carlos
- Emotion in Motion: The Dance of Ken Daurio
Glad I went ahead and imported the UK version. My family's been enjoying it for several weeks now. I can't use the digital copy that came with the UK Triple Play because it's only for UK Regions, but I wouldn't want to use the UV one either. So that's a wash.
That could be a late annoucement like the others remember RIO although from another studio was found out almost at the last minute. I hope they will release it in 3D too.
I only bought the movie because of it having Kaley Cuoco (Penny in The Big Bang Theory) in it and she was in it maybe 5 mins at the most.
That being said the movie wasn't too bad but its one of those films where the trailer shows the best parts of the film and leaves little else when you actually watch it.
@wjasoncul: fortunately, so far Universal has been including iTunes support with their UV dcopies too. Also, I've heard that Warner will issue you an itunes code for their UV dcopies too, if you complain.
