Ashanti Blu-ray

Independent distributors Severin Films have announced that they are preparing a Dual Format Edition of director Richard Fleischer's Ashanti (1979), starring Michael Caine, Peter Ustinov, Kabir Bedi (Sandokan), Omar Sharif, and William Holden. The release is expected to be available for purchase in the summer.

Oh, a guilty pleasure for me, this one. It's not very good, but it was on TV a lot when I was a kid. It would be good to see some other trashy Caine films like The Island, The Swarm and The Hand....

More importantly, though, is anyone ever going to release Get Carter on Blu-ray??

Caine got into some real trashy films, this was one despite the good looking cast, but I liked his Harry Palmer films: Midnight in St Petersburg, Billion dollar brain and Bullet to Beijing.
