Odd Man Out Blu-ray

Posted March 15, 2012 06:15 AM by Webmaster

NetworkDVDIndependent British distributors NetworkDVD have revealed that they are preparing for Blu-ray release director Carol Reed's (The Third Man) Odd Man Out (1947), starring James Mason, Robert Newton and Cyril Cusack. The preliminary release date set by the distributors is May 7th.

James Mason stars as Johnny McQueen, an idealistic leader of an illegal organisation in Northern Ireland, imprisoned for gun-running. Escaping, he plans an armed raid to financially support his plans – but it goes wrong; he is shot and badly wounded. Stumbling through the back-alleys of Belfast, he must find a place to hide out, but discovers he is not just wanted by the police, but by the people he thought of as his friends…

Network is a good UK label for sure.
they have the rights to some amazing films, and it is awesome to see them enter the bd world.
could mean some major classics coming in the future.

It is the best-looking edition of the film to date.

LOL, I just realized from the Beaver review that the Network DVD is the one I already have. No complaints with quality at all. Not too many extras though, hopefully they can add a few
