I would rather they keep the MSRP and give us lossless audio instead of a shoddy product for a low price. Though I wouldn't object to a discount on the lossless edition as well .
I agree, need lossless audio to buy this. Also the 2nd MI3 disc. It would also help if all the features from DVD Special editions were included even if SD.
I would love to own the M:I films on blu-ray and for this price I don't really mind the issues with the audio. What I do mind is the lack of M:I-3's 2nd disc of special features and because of that, I'm going to have to skip on this...
I'm passing on the fact that the only decent MI film was DePalma's! Tom Cruise on top of a building isn't going to sell me on a franchise that has been dead since MI2!
The Scandinavian set is excellent although it, too, is missing the disc of extras from MI3.
Also, I haven't been impressed with any of the movies really. The first was the most like the series but made the HORRIFIC mistake of making Jim Phelps the bad guy. WTF??? Ghost Protocol is probably the most entertaining after that. MI2 and MI3 are complete misfires.
Also for M:I fans, yesterday Amazon lowered the price of the Complete TV Series on DVD to $98.99. The 7 original seasons have been holding pretty steady around $150 since blue-ray.com started tracking them last September.
When will we see a TRUE package with re-mastered video and audio? And while we're at it, more bonus features than these lazy editions, please... and bring back the goodies on M:I:III.
Paramount, are you waiting for a Criterion edition, or what? (please tell me "or what")
